The decision to equip ourselves with a robotic island for the automation of low-value-added operations, such as object handling, is part of the process optimisation that started long ago at SAIP and continues every day.
Benefits for the customer
The island, applied mainly to machines that work on standard products and large production batches, allows us to significantly increase production while guaranteeing our customers greater flexibility, production availability and speed of delivery.
How is this possible?
The operator can handle several machines simultaneously, delegating to the mechanical arm the loading and unloading of products at the end of the process.
The island can also work autonomously without an operator, extending production even up to 4 hours after the work shift.
